Role Overview
We are looking for a Software Architect .NET to lead the design and evolution of scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions. In this role, you will define architectural standards and technical direction across .NET applications and services, working closely with development teams, product stakeholders, and other technical functions. You will be responsible for translating business and technical requirements into robust architectural solutions and ensuring their successful implementation.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Define and own the architecture of .NET-based applications, platforms, APIs, and distributed systems.
  • Design scalable, secure, maintainable, and high-performing software solutions aligned with business and technical requirements.
  • Establish architectural standards, principles, patterns, and best practices across development teams.
  • Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, frameworks, tools, and architectural approaches.
  • Collaborate with developers, technical leads, product owners, business analysts, and other stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance and architectural direction throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Design and oversee RESTful APIs, microservices, integrations, and distributed systems.
  • Drive architectural decisions around cloud, infrastructure, databases, messaging, security, and application performance.
  • Identify technical risks, architectural gaps, scalability challenges, and opportunities for modernization and optimization.
  • Review existing systems and define architectural improvements, refactoring strategies, and technology roadmaps.
  • Ensure software solutions follow principles such as Clean Architecture, Domain-Driven Design, SOLID, and appropriate design patterns.
  • Support development teams with architecture reviews, technical discussions, and resolution of complex technical challenges.
  • Ensure architectural decisions are properly documented and communicated across technical and business stakeholders.

What You'll Bring

  • 8+ years of experience in software development, with strong experience in the .NET ecosystem and proven experience in a Software Architect or similar senior technical role.
  • Strong proficiency in C# and modern .NET, including .NET Core / .NET 6+ and ASP.NET Core.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing scalable RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
  • Strong understanding of software architecture principles, patterns, and practices, including Clean Architecture, DDD, SOLID, CQRS, and event-driven architecture.
  • Strong experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases, database architecture, data modelling, and performance optimization.
  • Experience with messaging and integration technologies such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, Azure Service Bus, or similar is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of cloud architecture, preferably Microsoft Azure, including cloud-native services and architectural best practices.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of security, scalability, availability, resilience, observability, and performance considerations in enterprise applications.
  • Experience with CI/CD, Git, and modern software delivery practices.
  • Ability to assess existing architectures, identify technical debt, and define pragmatic modernization strategies.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make and communicate sound architectural decision
