Role Overview

We are looking for a Banking Operations Business Analyst. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing and optimizing banking operations processes, gathering business requirements, and translating them into practical solutions that improve efficiency, accuracy, and compliance. You'll work closely with operations, technology, and risk teams to ensure processes and systems support day-to-day banking activities effectively.

What You'll Be Doing

• Partner with banking operations teams (e.g., payments, account servicing, reconciliation, settlements) to identify pain points and document business requirements.
• Analyze end-to-end operational workflows to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for process improvement or automation.
• Develop process maps, functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria to guide system enhancements and operational changes.
• Support operational readiness for new products, systems, or regulatory changes, including impact assessments and change documentation.
• Coordinate and participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate that solutions meet operational and business needs.
• Conduct data analysis to monitor operational performance, identify trends, and support root-cause investigations.
• Assist in ensuring operational processes align with banking regulations, internal controls, and audit requirements.
• Prepare reports and presentations summarizing findings, recommendations, and project status for stakeholders and management.

What You'll Bring

• 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst within banking operations or financial services.
• Solid understanding of core banking operations processes (e.g., payments, transaction processing, reconciliation, account maintenance).
• Familiarity with regulatory and control requirements relevant to banking operations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in process mapping, requirements documentation, and UAT coordination.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to bridge conversations between operations staff, technical teams, and management.
